Is the 2027 Nissan Rogue a Good SUV for Lawrence, Kansas Drivers?

For those of you who’ve learned to love Rogues, allow us to introduce you to the new 2027 Nissan Rogue, soon to be found in Lawrence, KS. This isn’t just another year’s version of the Rogue – it’s the e-POWER hybrid, and it’s going to knock your socks off!

The gas-only versions of the 2027 Rogue won’t be released until mid-2027, and the manufacturer hasn’t yet released a lot of information on what to expect, so we’ll focus here on the e-POWER, which Nissan has moved up to late 2026 for its debut.

Nissan has sold nearly 4 million EVs worldwide over the last decade – but this e-POWER hybrid is a third-generation wonder, and is sure to leave its competition behind in the U.S. The drivetrain alone puts it in a class of its own.

2027 Nissan Rogue e-POWER Hybrid

The 2027 Nissan Rogue e-POWER Drivetrain

One of the most impactive features of the 2027 Rogue e-POWER is its drivetrain. The 1.5L turbocharged engine is not mechanically connected to the wheels. Instead, it acts as a generator, providing electrical current to keep the lithium-ion battery charged. Each axle has its own electrical motor, driven by an inverter – this provides a number of benefits.

  • Because the wheels are driven solely by electrical motors, acceleration, deceleration, and stopping is much smoother.
  • With recharging no longer a concern, there’s no need to ever stop and plug your hybrid in for charging. Range isn’t an issue – simply find a typical gas station, top off your tank and keep driving.
  • There is no traditional gearshift – only a P-R-N-D selector button on the instrument panel. Your accelerator pedal is your interface. You can accelerate, decelerate, and stop via that pedal, with none of the jolts sometimes present when other hybrids’ engines engage or disengage. The new 2027 Rogue’s e-Pedal and B-Mode Regenerative Braking makes your ride smoother and contributes significantly to keeping the battery charged.
  • Because the lower speeds of city/urban driving place less demand on the battery, the engine will only run occasionally. Conversely, driving at highway speeds will require the engine to run more. That results in higher gas mileage in the city – estimated to be 40 to 41 MPG, as opposed to 37 to 38 MPG on the highway. This translates to the 2027 Rogue e-POWER’s mileage being roughly 20% better than the gas-only Rogue version.

What are the Standard Features?

The SV, SR, & Platinum trims of the 2027 Rogue e-POWER come with an impressive set of standard features, providing increased safety, comfort, and performance.

  • All will have the e-POWER Powertrain and AWD described above, delivering a combined 225 hp, via Nissan’s Intelligent All-Wheel Drive.
  • They all also utilize Nissan’s e-Pedal with Smooth Stop. This is where the smooth stop comes from, with regenerative braking doing its job.
  • The tech layout consists of dual 12.3-inch digital displays, one of which serves as the instrumentation panel, with the other handling the infotainment touchscreen.
  • Additionally, all three trims feature the ProPILOT Assist Safety Suite, which consists of adaptive cruise control and lane centering, along with blind-spot warning/intervention, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, and driver attention monitor.
  • Nissan has also included their Cold Weather Package on all three trims, which includes heat for the front seats, steering wheel and side mirrors, as well as a de-icer on the front windshield wiper.
  • The standard features package is topped off with a Panoramic Moonroof, as well as Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android auto. And of course, they’ve thrown in a 15-watt magnetic wireless charger.

If that’s not enough to impress you, let’s take a look at the optional features Nissan offers on their 2027 Rogue e-POWER.

2027 Nissan Rogue e-POWER Hybrid Interior

Optional Features for 2027 Rogue e-POWER

  • For added safety, you can opt for the Advanced ProPILOT Assist, with includes Hands-off Traffic Jam Support (hands-off driving in highway gridlock below 50 km/hr) and Auto Lane Change (this is optional on the SR, but standard on the Platinum trim).
  • You may want to also consider adding the 3D Enhanced Intelligent Around View Monitor, which lets the driver see all the way around the vehicle. Especially handy for intricate maneuvering, this package also provides a “transparent” through-the-floor view.
  • You can add Ventilated Front and Rear Seats to the Platinum, if you like.
  • Rear Automatic Emergency Braking (Rear AEB) is another safety feature you may want to add.
  • Another optional feature – exclusive to the Platinum trim – is a Heads-Up Display (HUD), which projects essential driving information onto the windshield.
  • Finally, for your driving pleasure, you can add the Bose Premium Audio 10-speaker sound system which is only available for the upper tier trims.

How Much Does All This Cost?

Nissan has gone the extra mile to ensure they’re providing the best possible vehicle at the best possible price. They have recently announced the following MSRPs:

  • The SV starts at $35,490, with the Premium package increasing it to $37,590.

We are Proud to Announce…

2026 Nissan Award if Excellece

2026

We are proud to announce that Nissan USA has bestowed an incredible honor upon Dream Nissan Lawrence! We have received the Nissan Award of Excellence for 2026.

This isn’t just some token award for reaching a preset sales target – it’s far more than that. There are three criteria, each judged independently and a dealership must do more than simply meet or exceed a preset goal. They must out-perform nearly 900 other Nissan dealers in the country – in all three regards!

That means that to qualify for this award, we had to be in the top 15% of the more than 1,000 Nissan dealerships nationwide, in each of the following three criteria:

  1. Operational standards – mastery of business management, employee training, and facility standards. Nissan takes operational standards very seriously, which is why this is one of the important measurements of a dealer’s performance; and
  2. Customer satisfaction – customer satisfaction must always be exceptionally high, whether dealing with vehicle sales or repairs and maintenance issues; and
  3. Sales performance – simply meeting or exceeding sales volume expectations isn’t enough – to qualify for the Award of Excellence, a dealer must also do so better than the majority of other dealers in the country.

Only those dealers who rank in the top 15% of dealers nationwide in all three regards receive this award. So perhaps you can understand why our entire team is stoked about having won this award for the first time. You can also bet that this is only our first – there’ll be more – bet on it!

The criteria driving this award are central principles of our business and how we define all our actions. Ensuring each of our customers has nothing but positive experiences in all their dealings with us is key to our success, as well as being a very important part of why we won this award.

So we want to thank Nissan USA for recognizing our efforts. And we also want to thank each and every one of our team members for their contributions to the effort to make Dream Nissan Lawrence worthy of this award. And of course, we also want to thank all our customers for having given us the opportunity to make their Nissan experience as positive as it could possibly be.

If you haven’t already had occasion to experience working with our team at Nissan Lawrence, come visit us. See what we have to offer in new and used vehicles, or bring your Nissan in for some expert maintenance or repairs. Enjoy a professional, efficient, and pleasant Nissan experience – you won’t regret it!

Take One for a Spin Quick – They’ll Sell Fast

Your Dream Nissan dealership in Lawrence always has some amazing deals on the lot, so if you’re thinking of a new vehicle, it’ll be well worthwhile to pay them a visit. There are still plenty of 2026 vehicles to choose from.

The 2027 models are about to hit the lot, too, and the new 2027 Z line will blow your socks off!  The 2027 Z line consists of three different trims: The Z Sport, Z Performance, and Z NISMO. All three have some impressive features, but each has its own particular niche. Let’s take a look at what they have to offer.

2027 Nissan Z Sport

2027 Nissan Z SportThe Z Sport is the base trim of the Z line, considered ideal for daily commuting and casual day trips. With its 3.0L 400hp Twin-Turbo V6, it makes both highways and mountain canyon roads a pleasure to navigate.

Depending upon your taste, you can choose either the 9-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters or the 6-speed manual transmission with the heavy-duty EXEDY® clutch and carbon-fiber driveshaft to deliver that horsepower to the rear-end drive axle.

It has Yokohama ADVAN Sport tires mounted on 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels, and 2-piston front/1-piston rear brakes on a standard sport suspension.

For safety, it employs Nissan’s Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Adaptive Cruise Control.

On the comfort side of things, the Z Sport has manually adjusted cloth seats, manual handbrake, and a 4-spoke leather steering wheel.

To make this vehicle a real attention-grabber, you can opt for the Shinkai Green Pearl Metallic paintjob, which includes the Super Black 2-tone roof.

And two new features which are included in all three trims are a new front grille profile, with a more tapered look – along with a modified rear panel – and a new fuel tank design, with specialized baffling, to stop fuel starvation during high-speed cornering.

As an added touch, Nissan has replaced its logo on the hood with a stylized “Z”.

The EPA estimated gas mileage for the 2027 Nissan Z Sport is 19 mpg city / 28 mpg highway / 22 mpg combined, with the automatic transmission or 18 mpg city / 24 mpg highway / 20 mpg combined, with the manual option.

Nissan has recently announced that the MSRP for the Z line will be starting at $44,480.

2027 Nissan Z Performance

2027 Nissan Z PerformanceThe Z Performance is next in the lineup, and as its name implies, it is performance-oriented. It includes a number of premium technical upgrades, as well as some nice driver-assist features. And it definitely lives up to its name!

The Z Performance trim comes with the same engine as the Z Sport, but aside from the exterior appearance, that’s where the similarity ends. Let’s examine what the Z Performance brings to the table.

  • As already stated, it is driven by the same 3.0L 400hp/350 lb-ft of torque Twin-Turbo V6 engine. Add to that its limited-slip differential (LSD), larger diameter monotube shock absorbers, and with the manual transmission, SynchroRev Match.
  • The Performance offers the same choice of either the 6-speed manual transmission with the EXEDY® clutch and carbon-fiber driveshaft or the 9-speed automatic with paddle shifters.
  • The brakes are upgraded to 14-inch front/13.8-inch rear rotors, handled by 4-piston front Akebono® calipers, so it has a very aggressive brake system.
  • Nissan redesigned their 19-inch RAYS® forged aluminum-alloy wheels and mounted Bridgestone Potenza S007 performance tires on them.
  • On the interior, you’ll find heated power-adjustable seats, aluminum sport pedals, and leather-appointed seating with synthetic suede inserts, available in a new tan upholstery wrap.
  • For driver assistance and comfort, the Z Performance has a larger 9-inch touchscreen with integrated Navigation, 8-speaker Bose® Premium Audio system, active Noise Cancellation and Sound enhancement, as well as a cooled, magnetized 15-watt wireless device charger. It’s topped off with Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, Amazon Alexa integration, and NissanConnect Services with a Wi-Fi hotspot.
  • Just as with the Z Sport, you also have the option of the Shinkai Green Pearl Metallic paintjob with the black roof.

Gas mileage is identical to the Z Sport – 19 mpg city / 28 mpg highway / 22 mpg combined, with the automatic transmission or 18 mpg city / 24 mpg highway / 20 mpg combined, with the manual.

MSRP has been announced by Nissan, starting at $44,480.

2027 Nissan Z NISMO

2027 Nissan Z NISMONow we arrive at the Z NISMO, the pinnacle of performance. It’s intended for those who intend to visit the track regularly.

  • Nissan applied NISMO tuning to the same 3.0L V6, extracting another 20hp and 34 lb-ft of torque. The transmission options remain the same – manual 6-speed or NISMO-tuned 9-speed automatic with paddle shifters.
  • They added a V-bar underbody brace to provide high-rigidity to the chassis, achieved a 20% lower-friction in the steering rack, widened the front and rear track widths and stiffened the spring rates.
  • They reduced the front-end weight by 19-lbs by providing heavy-duty 15-inch front brakes, with high-performance 2-piece rotors like those on the Nissan GT-R.
  • Exclusive to the NISMO are its lightweight 19-inch RAYS® wheels – wider than those found on the Sport or Performance trims – with sticky Dunlop® SP Sport MAXX GT600 tires.
  • The rear spoiler has been redesigned to a 3-piece, an extended front nosepiece has been added, as well as a unique rear bumper and side sills. There’s also red exterior pinstriping and black “katana blade” roof trim.
  • In the cabin, you’ll find manual Recaro® bucket seats in leather and Alcantara, the steering wheel Alcantara-wrapped with a red center stripe, and unique red graphics on the digital gauge cluster, as well as a cooled magnetic wireless charger.

Nissan has taken street-legal sports cars to new heights with their 2027 Z NISMO. You’ll agree before you even finish your test drive.

The 2027 Z NISMO’s EPA-estimated mileage is 17 mpg city / 24 mpg highway / 19 mpg combined, but the manual estimation is still pending. Various reviewers agree it’s likely to come in at about 18 mpg combined.

The Z-line’s MSRP is starting at $44,480.

If you’re eager to take the Z NISMO for a test spin, you might want to stop by your local dealership and sign up for a test drive as soon as they arrive, as they aren’t likely to last long on the lot. Nissan says to expect them to arrive at dealerships in mid-July.

Servicing Your Vehicle Made Easy

Any mechanic will tell you that the best way to ensure a long service life for your vehicle is to ensure that prescribed periodic maintenance is performed as recommended. To make this easier for Nissan owners, your local dealer is running a few service specials with significant discounts.

Whether it’s just time for a scheduled oil change, your brakes are slipping or pulling to one side, or your car will only start after several minutes of cranking it over, Dream Nissan Lawrence has a way for you to save money.

Proper Lubrication is Critical

Engine oil has a lifespan that can be affected by contaminants, high temperatures, or age, so it’s essential to ensure that your oil is clean and not beyond its recommended use since the last oil change. Failing to do so can quickly result in metal-on-metal wear, which can cause serious damage to your engine.

Dream Nissan Lawrence is offering packages of three oil & filter changes for $179.25, which lets you lock in the current price for your next three oil changes. You just have the coupon emailed to you, and present it at your dealership when they write up your service order. This coupon represents a savings of $120, even at today’s prices – and who knows how the economy will act a year or so down the road? Show your wallet – and your Nissan – how much you care.

They also have another oil/filter change coupon for five oil & filter changes for $298.75 – a $200 savings, even without any future cost increases. Who wouldn’t rather pay $300, instead of $500? Either of these coupons are well worth grabbing.

Good Brakes Save Lives

Reliable brakes are essential, and they nearly always offer signs of developing issues before the situation gets critical. Squealing, pulsing, pulling to one side, fading, or just not stopping your vehicle as quickly as they should – these are signs of impending failure, and ignoring them can put you and your loved ones at risk. Even if your brakes seem fine to you, a periodic inspection is always a good idea.

One of the most common issues encountered with brakes is wear of the brake pads, which is precisely where initial wear and tear should appear. An inspection of the pads can detect excessive wear, so they can be replaced. Dream Nissan Lawrence is currently offering a coupon to discount their brake service by $35.

That service consists of a thorough inspection of the pads, calipers, wheel cylinders and master cylinder, including the hydraulic lines, to identify any issues, whether existing or developing. They also replace the front or rear brake pads and can make any other repairs or adjustments that are necessary.

Don’t tempt fate. Take advantage of the savings provided by this coupon and the peace of mind you’ll have by knowing your brakes will do their job as designed.

Repairs Can Be Costly

Most of us have experienced the annoyance of something on our vehicle failing. Maybe your transmission started making a loud clunking sound when shifting, or your battery wouldn’t charge when driving. Leaking radiators, squeaking when you turn the steering wheel, flickering lights, or simply a
“Check Engine” light on your dashboard – any of these, and many more things, can indicate that some repairs may be necessary.

And we all know that such things tend to occur at the least opportune time. Maybe you’re pressed for time, or perhaps your wallet is a bit stressed. But such things can rarely wait to be addressed.

Your Nissan dealer may not be able to help you overcome the timing issue, but they can help you ease the financial impact. They’re currently offering a $75 discount coupon for vehicle repairs, which can ease your stress level somewhat.

Request your coupon be emailed to you now and schedule that repair your Nissan deserves. You – and your wallet – will be glad you did! Again, that link is service specials.
